Equine Breeding

Excepted Breeding Methods

We currently allow Live Cover, Artificial Insemination and a method we call "fictious foal".

    • "Fictious foal" is when a real life stallion and a real life mare are bred to create a simulation foal. The foal must be for the current year.
    • All breeding in this method must be approved by a staff member; these horses are listed as "Bred" in the CER.
    • Fictious Foal Credits (FFC) can be purchased for $500 a credit or you can trade in one (1) Creation Credit (CC) for two (2) Fictious Foal Credits (FCC).
    • You must have been in the game for a minimum of three (3) months.
    • PLEASE research the stallion and mare. We take this seriously.

  • If a horse is based off of a actual horse the stats must differ in some way.
  • You must find a place to board you horse within one (1) week of you acquiring it.
  • You must buy feed, tack and other supplies. Some stables might provide certain supplies.
  • You may only breed horses that would be bred in real life.
  • Please follow RL rules as often as possible. (ie. Warmblood naming, breeding, colors, etc.)
    • You can find such information in the Resource Library
  • We allow the importation/exportation of horse in/out of Cadence Sim Game.
    • To import a horse visit the Import A Horse page.

  • Horses must see the farrier at least every two (2) months and the vet at least twice (2) a year.
    • Breeding mares/stallions as well as youngstock are required to visit them more often.

    Pedigrees

We require that a horse have at least the grandsires and granddams listed. Anything beyond that is optional. This is essential, especially for animals being used for breeding programs. Associations & Registries - to open an association/registry you must have been in the game for one (1) month, hold at least "Silver Member" status and prove you have some knowledge of the breed/discipline your association promotes.

Stables - the goal of most sim game members is to own their own stable. To own a stable you must hold "Gold Member" status and have passed at least the Barn Manager Test. You need to have passed Barn Manager and Business Tests for Public Stables. You must purchase land and facilities from the Cadence Land & Real Estate Co.

Registering & Approval Guideline

Our guidelines for any type of establishment is, like horse names, are approved on a first come first served basis. Simply stating in the forum that you want to open "_____" establishment does not mean anything is reserved for you. You must have a working website approved in order for such establishment to be approved and reserved or one that is proven to be a work in progress (uploaded and visable to approval manager).

Co-Ownership

Co-ownership of all establishments is permitted. To have two owners listed one must first sumbit it for approval and than notify the staff of the additional owner, we will then edit the listing to reflect both names.
